It does have a seriously deep feature set so be prepared for a steep learning curve, but there is a lot of help available online. I have read a lot of reports that Samplitude is the most solid and least buggy of all the major DAWs.

These are the latest versions and there are no signs of newer versions being released anytime soon, but they are still being continued to be developed - any future upgrade though, is likely to be expensive unless you find a great deal then too. Also, it isn't on offer because they are about to launch new versions. For $150 instead of $1400 if you buy it all separately when not on offer, it is a no-brainer deal. Combined, you get everything you need to professionally record, mix, master and do the Nth degree of audio forensics with. But also the other stuff you get in this package is top notch stuff that combined would normally set you back a huge wadge of cash. Can anyone summarize why it would be "better" than Studio One or Cubase Pro?īecause Samplitude is a pretty impressive DAW that goes very deep in features. Best wishes.Ĭityrat Looks like an amazing deal.

For new users, check out Kraznet's series of YouTube Videos. I just bought mine here: (copy/paste) You can watch the 2-minute video for a brief overview of new features. And works for new users as well as current users. 4 days! It says "upgrade" because it's targeted to existing users on prior versions.

Blows your mind with spectral editing!) ($400), plus - SoundForge Pro 11 ($200, when bundled with SLP4, or $400 by itself), plus - a special version of iZotope editing, mastering based on Ozone 7 ($100), plus - (another version of) Melodyne elements ($50), plus - Birdline Custom Skins for Samplitude ($60) Anyway, it's all for $149 (seriously, the price of a great plugin). It includes: - the current version, Samplitude ProX3 Suite (with all kinds of goodies - normally $600), plus - Spectral Layers Pro4 (spend 20 minutes on the videos on the Magix page. Magix (parent company) has an insane offer that's just come out and is only available for a few days as an Anniversary Special. (Unless electronic music - then maybe better off with Cubase). Anyway, for those of you looking for a new DAW: you really should consider Samplitude if AUDIO is your gig. We also track weekly 34 channels for years with hardly a hiccup. (Simply outstanding for editing, mixing, mastering, exporting. Meanwhile, THIS Forum has been 2nd to none! While I own Sonar Platinum, Studio One, Reaper, and MixBus, what I use 95% of the time (for 20 years) is Samplitude ProX2. While Sonar was only an occasionally-used DAW for me (while I've owned most versions from Sonar 6 to Platinum), I appreciated its feature set and am also bummed and angry at Gibson. Sonar users - Your pain is real! I'm truly saddened for this whole community. Insane Magix deal for Samplitude ProX3 - SpectraLayers Pro4, Soundforge Pro 11, iZotope.
